This course is created for health practitioners interested in engaging with their clients and patients (and potential clients and patients) outside of the office to increase compliance, position them as an expert in their field and to better promote their practice, books, programs, etc. Social media is a great way to increase exposure, education and income and this course is created to help guide health practitioners specifically on how to do just that.

Who this is for:
We created this program for self-starters, those excited to engage on social media, those who are willing to try things for at least 90 days before moving on and those who are wanting to find a way to educate more people on health and wellness. We put a lot of effort and time into creating theses programs because we want you to be successful in your implementation! This review is at a fairly basic level for new Facebook users, but will be much easier for those who already have basic computer skills such as moderate email, web browsing and word processing skills.
Who this is NOT for:
This program is NOT for those looking for quick financial results or get-rich-quick schemes. These ideas and strategies can only help you to be more successful if you are willing to put in the work and the effort and the time that it takes to create relationships with potential audiences. This is not a fix-it-and-forget-it program. If you are expecting huge results with minimal effort, this program is not for you. This program is likely too advanced for someone with little or no computer skills. It is highly recommended that you learn basic email, web browsing and word processing skills before taking this course.

Since they are courses and not products, it is difficult to offer a full refund since you will have seen and heard all of our valuable information. We want you to implement what you've learned and customize it to your own voice, which is difficult to measure for refund purposes. What to expect:
By taking this course and implementing its ideas and recommendations, you should feel more familiar with the Facebook platform and start making your unique voice be heard to your clients and potential clients. As with any word-of-mouth marketing, it may take time to get these clients in the door to see you. As we described above, this is not in any way a get-rich-quick scheme or a way to have clients lining up outside of your door immediately. Relationships take time to nurture and to earn trust and social media is a great way to extend those relationships out of the office.
Many practitioners who have a social media following can get anywhere from 1 new client per quarter to 10 book sales in one day just from being seen on social media. We cannot guarantee specific numbers, as results will vary based on your implementation, your voice/mission/experience and your audience. That being said, I just had to share what I have learned as it has proven to be the best way I was able to grow my practice from nothing in a rural area in a licensed state with minimal scope of practice, and if my experience can help another practitioner, then that is my goal. Will I be able to download the video?
No. The video is not downloadable but is available to stream from any device (computer, tablet or smartphone) that has online access. This video is locked and is not able to be embedded on any other website or platform in order to reduce piracy. Any misuse of links or sharing of this video with those who have not purchased it will be considered a breach of copyright and will be treated as stolen intellectual property.
Will this be available forever?
No. The video will be available for 1 year from the time of purchase and can be viewed as many times as you like. If for some reason circumstances should change, there will always be at least a 30-day notice if the program is to be taken down except in cases of death or other circumstances requiring the immediate closing of Whole Health Starts Today or removal of video services.
How will I access the video?
You will be given a web address through Vimeo's video on-demand program where you will be able to stream the video at your convenience with your device of choice.
Will I be able to ask questions like in a webinar?
No. This is a video recording and not a live webinar. After polling my practitioner audience, the overwhelming majority voted for a video in lieu of a live webinar so that they could access it on their own terms and fit it into their schedule. This way, it is accessible to you at any time and can be viewed as many times as you like. We have worked very hard to try and answer any questions that could likely come up, but after you have viewed the video in its entirety, if you still have questions on the course content itself, please don't hesitate to ask (contact info below). Please keep the questions to the video content (Facebook for Practitioners) and not things that were not covered like other platforms (i.e. Twitter) or other services that were not covered in this video course (i.e. Facebook ads).
Will this price be available forever?
No. This price is an introductory price only and will increase with the more videos we publish.
How long is the video?
It is just under one hour and seven minutes long and does not have to be viewed all in one sitting. It was created so that you can watch and work along with us or simply watch at your leisure - whatever fits into your schedule and your learning style.
Does this qualify for continuing education credit?
No. This is considered practice building, marketing and/or practice development. So, while this does not qualify for medical continuing education, this may be considered a business expense as an educational or miscellaneous expense (please check with your accountant for exactly how to categorize this for official tax purposes).
Is this video for U.S. healthcare providers only?
Not necessarily. Though we are located in the U.S., Facebook is accessible to the world, so no matter where you are practicing, you may find this information useful. The general business advice in this video is based on running a business in the U.S. and the video and audio are only available in English at this time. It is always good to check with your lawyer to be aware of your local laws regarding what you can and can't put onto social media, especially when it comes to healthcare.
Is there a forum or Facebook group available for further discussion?

How do I know if this will work for me?
There is no way to know. Every persona and every business is different. You have to listen to your audience and engage with them and provide great content and nurture your growing relationship with them in order to succeed in business, which takes time. Only you have your voice. I can only show you what has worked for me to help you to find a place to get started and to learn how to use the general platforms. So many practice development and marketing courses are run by people who have never owned their own clinic or holistic health practice and that's where our program differs - I have done it all myself while running a successful practice and I have helped many other practitioners do the same thing.
about Dr. McElveen
Dr. McElveen graduated from NCNM in 2007 and accomplished 2 years of residency there. In 2009, she moved to Maine and started a practice in a remote, rural, low-income area, and quickly had to learn about business and marketing in order to achieve the financial goals of her first years in practice. As she became more successful, she began consulting for friends and colleagues to help them with business and marketing all while learning as much as she could specifically on social media and how it can impact a practitioner's message.
Inspired by the increased demand for her to consult for other doctors in business and setting up practices, she decided to write her first book, Tips on Creating a Successful Naturopathic Practice: Based on the Ups & Downs of a ND in Private Practice. She first created this as an ebook and due to the popularity and demand, decided a year later to release a paperback version that is now recommended in US naturopathic medical schools and the naturopathic practice management course the Health of Business, Business of Health (HBBH).
Over the years, she realized she felt more passion in supporting her colleagues than she felt for direct patient care, so she decided to close her practice and focus on helping other practitioners to be successful. Now, she can reach more practitioners by offering online courses, all while helping to bring more positive awareness to the naturopathic medical community as a whole.
